The Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, exchanged Sallah pleasantries, with the Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi II, in Abuja on Friday.
“As the two leaders met, they congratulated each other for the successful completion of the month of Ramadhan Fast and the Sallah festive period,’’ a press statement by Ganduje’s Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar, said on Sunday.
Both leaders, according to the statement spoke jointly to all Muslims and urged them to continue with the good teachings and spirit of the month of Ramadhan.
According to the statement, Sanusi seized the opportunity to formally congratulate Ganduje on his victory at the Supreme Court, which upheld his second term mandate in office and wished the governor a successful tenure in office from 2019 to 2023.
The statement noted that dialogue was initiated by the Kano born business mogul, Alhaji Aliko Dangote; and the Chairman of Nigeria’s Governors’ Forum, Dr Kayode Fayemi.
